Why I`m here?

I’m studying veterinary medicine because is a longing that had since when I was six years old. During those years I was a female dog called “Reina”, a beautiful Gordon Setter and I remember when ill took her to a veterinarian friend of my dad and recovered from his stomach pain and he applied her vaccine as per Schedule. Since that time I was fascinated with everything that made the vet, I thought "he's watching the dogs all day and I too want to do that" and I’m here. Although over the years I've noticed that the work of the veterinary surgeon goes far beyond the animal health and he is a professional who can assure us that everything we eat is clean and free of disease, besides contributing to the conservation of endangered species or a facet of that not everyone knows: the veterinarian can also conduct manufacturing processes such as the raising of livestock and then transform it into food for the rest of humanity. One main tools, I believe, for good works of a veterinarian, is the access to technology and information like internet because a veterinarian must be constantly updated to be the best, especially with the explosive number of veterinarians graduating every year at least here in Chile. Now I'm in fifth year I can say that my favorite subjects in all the career were: Animal Pathology, Animal Nutrition and Feeding, Avian Production, Reproduction and Artificial Insemination and finally Gynecology and Obstetrics.
And for to finish I would say that my time in this career has been very difficult, I've laughed and cried at once and as I've talked to several people who have told me that the veterinary surgeon is very difficult because we must learn the operation and diseases animals that are very different. Despite this, I like study veterinary medicine because it gives a pleasant working environment, free with animals and also has a lot of work in field. I do not like to be locked up all day in an office but I would not be all day outside of a place and this career can do both, and although sometimes I regret having come to study this so difficult that I found it all, honestly I am not doing something else.

The most interesting documentary that I've seen!!!

I saw a documentary called “Dog genius” that was on some interesting aspects on the behavior of dogs and how they relate to certain human attitudes. To start I drew attention as the documentary describes attitudes that had dogs, something like "human of four foot”, struggling and doing everything to get their reward: a delicious bone. One of the most interesting experiencies it was about Mabel, a female dog, a beagle cross of six years. Mabel showed us that the dogs know in advance when the owner will come. That is called "learning by association" and in my daily life I see it with my three dogs, when I arrive to my house my dogs are waiting for me and with a toy, ready for play with me. The documentary mencioned that dogs can hear even a distance of more than four times to hear a human so, that's why dogs are the best ringtones there!
Another interesting experiment is that we showed another female dog called Ambula and a researcher at a German institute. This experiment demonstrated that dogs are attentive to the gaze of its owner to follow orders or do something.
And that definitely caused me more tenderness: Donnie, the female Doberman that would be the desire of any dog owner because put in order all your toys! As commented that the owner, Donnie was adopted from a shelter pets; and if a dog that did not even touched a little left of that consent. And that was evidenced in the order that gave her toys, forming triangles which brought together only frogs, dogs or hearts.
What more bring off of this documentary, and that leaves me once again demonstrated, is that dogs are the best animals that exist in the world because is the most noble creature that exists, besides being an excellent company to humans can become an excellent tool if it is given the necessary instruction.

One of my favourites pictures

Here are two of my own three hearts, my beutiful and beloved dogs. Their names are Toy and Winnie and were surprised by their favorite activity: sleeping all day. This picture was taken by me since ago two years approximately. What I like most about this picture is the spontaneity with which it was made because I just put the blanket over my dogs one winter night and told them "look" and got it! And I like leaving them, my lovely Maltese dogs, who are the joy of my life and make me laugh with his pranks and all that always wants to sleep and sleep that is what is reflected in this picture. It seems that some old boys were sleeping is not it? It only remains Monín, that for those years had not become a part of this wonderful family dog and sleepy, but it is a sleeper over the three.

Which is my favourite career-related website?

One of the most visited site by me, and related to my studies, is the Agricultural and Livestock Service of Chile (SAG is it acronyms in Spanish), the link when you can found this interesting website is http://www.sag.gob.cl/).I found this website around four years ago, searching information about inputs for animal feed and veterinary medicines. I visit this website when time allows me. This website is my preference because I can get a lot of interest to students of veterinary medicine and for veterinary surgeons. In addition, SAG is the government institution that controls and regulates all products that can use for our animals and delivery guidelines and tips that make it more competitive in the livestock sector, which is that I want to dedicate myself to the future. This website also supply further information on how to draw animals or enter the country and thanks to the information that contains, I could tell some friends of Argentina to bring to your dog so we can know and had no problems at the office to enter the country. And just as this sort of data delivery on many other resources that can be used in Chile. Regulates, among other things, cutting trees so typical tree of our flora like the Chilean palm, also regulates the hunting of species and controls what can enter to the country and what can’t enter.

Which is my favourite piece of tecnology?

My favourite piece of tecnology is my mp3 player. It’s a Creative Muvo Tx. I got it since already two years ago and is the first Mp3 player that I have and I love it! Because is the most important study tool and is my hobby in my free time because I listen to music on it. It’s my study tool because I record the class of the University and when is the time to study my subject and I need something to turn the recordings I made with this spectacular team, therefore I use almost every day. What I like of my Mp3 is it high capacity data storage, can be hours listening music or recording what makes it be a very useful tool for my studies and my life. With out my Mp3 my life would very boring and so complicated!!! Mean, can you imagine my life with out music and my records from classes, especially if I teachers who speak very fast and do not leave notes on?

A bit of my life

Hi! My name is Daniela, i´m 25. I´m a vet studen and i am at the fifth grade of mi career (the last year). I love animals, especially dogs and cows, in spite of it i want to devote to animal production because is a good area that will allow me to develop a company (i wait to be able to do it) with sustentable production. I have a beautiful family and i have three pretty little dogs and it´s names are (in order of arrival to my home) Toy, Winnie and Monín. Monín was adopted in October of last year after gathering it from the street and being sick and dirty. Now, it is a very happy dog. Winnie is the son of Toy and my three dogs are my happy moments of mi life.
And it is what i will tell them for the present, hereinafter i will tell more things, and this blog is a work of an elective course of pilot english that i took on my school of vet and for that i expect from this course is to be able to improve my english level since other one of my big dreams (beside being excellent professional and cattle businesswoman) is to be able to travel all over the world and I believe that this course will be of a great help for my.
